Humanised Cats

Thu, 01/29/2015 - 12:25 -- jenni

TThe term humanized generally means any thing that has become more social or civilized. With regards to cats we use the term to classify cats that are used to people but are still reserved. These cats will often come for food, they may congregate around people or dwellings. Humanized cats generally depend on people to survive, they need the food source that people provide for them. These cats will display affection to people they know and trust but may still become scared or aggressive if they feel threatened. They usually do not like to be picked up. Over time humanized cats can make the transition in to pet cats if they feel safe and trust people. Humanized cats need to be neutered to prevent them from breeding out of control and to improve their health.
